Lynchburg Special Olympics Volleyball Team Wins Big At State Competition

It was a busy weekend for the Lynchburg Special Olympics Volleyball team. The volleyball full court team competed in the State Competition this weekend and won the gold medal!!!

The skills team excelled as well, winning several medals.

Saturday evening the Volleyball team had a rocking good time at dance in Virginia Beach. Just look at this photo of Tianna and Temika busting a move on the dance floor.

Lori Rife selected as a coach for the 2010 Fall Championships All Star Team

Congratulations to Lynchburg Volleyball Coach, Lori Rife, who was selected to be the honorary coach of the 2010 Fall Championships All Star Team. Lori has been the coach for the Lynchburg team since her days as a student at Liberty University, and this is a well deserved honor. Since taking over as coach, she has helped lead her athletes to several state championships and numerous tournament victories. The All Star Game will take place at the Fall Championships, this Saturday, in Virginia Beach.

Great job, Lori!

Good luck to our volleyball athletes who will be competing at the Fall Championships!

In only a few days the Lynchburg volleyball team will be making the trek to VA Beach to defend their state title at the Special Olympics Virginia Fall Championships. Please join us in wishing them luck, and feel free to post any words of encouragement below. Let me be the first… Good luck Lynchburg. Go represent for the Hill City and the Piedmont Region!
